The stakeholders at SharePhotos, LLC, wanted to develop solutions to improve their application for sharing photos and videos with users. They approached the UX team to develop a strategy and conduct UX research.
CHI was founded by Farouk Shami, the creator and inventor of the first Original Ceramic Flat Iron. I had the privilege of contributing to enhancing his website, aiming to boost traffic and foster customer engagement.
I'm an aspiring UX Designer and Researcher from Texas, focusing on user needs to drive business success. With a strong background in user research and proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative methods, I’m skilled in preparing designs for developer handoffs and conversant in front-end web languages. My experience as a former eLearning Developer has made me adept at designing for accessibility and ensuring WCAG 2.0 and Section 508 compliance.
I work at HCSS as a UX Design Intern and PetSmart as a Retail Sales Associate. I’m in my last semester studying for a Master of Science in User Experience Design at Kent State University. I’m expected to graduate in Spring 2025. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interactive Media Design from The Art Institute of Houston.
My early interest in web design began during the Xanga and Myspace era, where I taught myself creative software and web programming. Since then, I have applied these skills across various industries in corporate settings.
I am a team player, hard-working, and thrive on new challenges. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, belly dancing, and snuggling with my talkative cat, Dixie.
